Most of the people would like to change their life to be more active and get in better shape. We all watch and follow different fitness models on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and many other social media sites. Everyone wants to be like them and to look like them. One of the questions we all have is how they stay motivated, find time to work out, and do their meal plans, while doing everything else. Don't we all have the same 24 hours? And for some reason, a lot of us fail to manage our time. However, a lot of people started their fitness journey multiple times and failed to keep going. There is a saying "If it was easy, everyone would do it." I came up with few questions that might help a person to make decisions, and hopefully will keep them going and strive for better.
What is fitness, or active life for you?
First, a person needs to know for themselves, what is fitness or an active life for them. Why they want it, and how bad they want it. Is it just to stay in shape, to get a better-looking body that he/she will be proud to show off. It could be to lose some weight, or even to gain weight. Yes, with proper fitness and meal plan you can gain weight, I'm not talking about gaining fat right now.
Is it a lifestyle, or just a hobby?
A next thing would be is to figure out if it's going to be your new lifestyle or just a hobby. We will talk about the differences in next paragraph. Although, it might be hard at first changing a lifestyle to more active if a person never worked out or haven't been active as much. Depends on what kind of work you do and how active you are during the day can make a big difference. People who work physically like construction jobs or anything in that nature might be ok. However, if you are an office person "as I am" it might be a little bit harder to get up and get going. At first, you will be sore, especially first few weeks, then the body will start getting used to it and will be less sore. For people who already more active during the day and work hard might be hard as well. By the time they get off work, they already have no energy and just want to go home and rest. So, there is always pros and cons but finding time and energy will benefit you in the future.
What is the difference between the two, hobby and lifestyle?
Next question, what is the difference between getting fitness as lifestyle or a hobby? Let's talk about hobby first. Hobby is what people do in their spare time when they have nothing else to do, something to keep them busy. So, fitness can be a hobby, but you probably won't see much of a difference in your body, or how you feel. However, it depends on how much time you'll dedicate to it. If it'll be more then three days a week and at least 30 minutes or more than it will be more of a lifestyle then just a hobby. Lifestyle is more of what you do, day in and day out. It might be working out, being active like going hiking, swimming, running, skiing, etc. When changing a lifestyle you need to think about eating more healthier as well because as you probably heard "You can't out train a bad diet."
